Sarah's Stats

Seeing how Sarah pretty much runs our lives these days I will most likely be posting about her every time. Seeing how she is the only reason you read this I didn't think anyone would mind.(Ya we know our place.) So here is an update. She is 17 lbs 12 oz (25%) and 29.5 in (65%). This week she learned how to bat her eyelashes and from her dad of all people. She thinks it is a fun game to rummage through our food storage and carry various items to different rooms. I guess my organization isn't good enough for her. She tried her first sucker the other day.

She liked it.

Michael found a new talent of his. While we were cleaning up Sarah's toys he decided that he needed to arrange her stuffed animals. He is getting a little soft.

I had to get proof.

He was so proud of himself he needed a picture of his work.

I got an awesome deal on diapers yesterday. I don't know if anyone cares, but I was pretty excited so I thought I would share. I got 264 diapers for $35.98! That is the cheapest I have ever gotten them so I was proud of myself.

My Baby is One

I thought I would never get into blogging (and I am still trying to figure it out) but with this new year and all the changes it seemed like a good idea to keep in touch with family and friends. Plus it is a neat way to document our changing family. Today is the perfect day to start too. My baby is one. I can't believe she has grown up so fast, but I love every new stage and I am so blessed to stay home with her. We celebrated over the weekend with my family.
Sarah got to have a raspberry cupcake, but I think she was more fascinated by the candle.
At first she didn't like the frosting on her fingers...until she tasted it. Then the whole hand went in.
She is definitely spoiled.
Opening Presents.
Sarah loving her new Teddy Bear (a.k.a. "Dog" as every animal is known). I wonder where she gets her love for animals...not me.
Today she got her one year pictures taken and she did not think it was very nice of me to make her hold still when there was a whole room of props to explore. We only got one cute picture while I held her down. It amazes me how curious and inquisitive she is. Everything is a new adventure and she dives right in. She is walking all over the place. She can say "dog," "dad," and "hi," and sign a few things. She has four teeth. She does not like being contained and has to be moving. She loves animals, books, and dancing. Her new favorite thing is to reach over the counter and feel around until she finds a new toy. It seems like just yesterday she was head butting me in my back trying to escape. How time flies when you're having fun!
